Welcome to It’s A Wonderful RV Life

Our Home At The Beginning Of Our Full Time RV Living Journey
Our Winnebago Amidst The Redwoods
In The Beginning of Our Full Time RV Life Adventure

Hi. I am Donna, the voice behind It’s A Wonderful RV Life, aka RV Life Is Good. Welcome! Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with me.

I live a full-time semi-nomadic life with my husband Steve, in our 1997 motorhome. Steve doesn’t approve of sharing anything on social media, oh well.

We also live with Sirius The Dog, our daughter’s German Shepherd, while she attends college. Who am I kidding? We are probably stuck with him forever, I guess that’s ok, he gets me out of “the house.”

I am here to let you know that I am sharing our story on Patreon, please head on over there.

It is a story about full time RV living (our current lifestyle for the past 4.5 years) and how we got here.

Our wonderful RV life began out of necessity. So far, it has been a blessing.

Maybe you will learn something from our story that will inspire you to make a similar change in your life. Maybe you will learn from our mistakes. Maybe you will decide that this is possible to do, even if you didn’t manage to save a nest egg. Maybe you will decide it is not for you at all, or that you prefer to do it differently than we do. That’s OK, as long as you are nice about it.

No glam here (unless the day is glamorous). Just the truth.

I share about our journey through life at the moment, including the challenges and tragedies, as well as the triumphs and blessings of this lifestyle. Although we are not “on vacation,” RV life our way does include some fun stuff (camping, hiking, fishing, bicycling, star gazing, cooking, small scale gardening, traveling, campground hosting, volunteering, dog training, etc.). It also includes some less fun but essential stuff (maintaining the RV, shopping, getting mail, accessing remote connectivity, health care, dog care, etc.). Although I won’t be talking about it much, the glue that holds it all together is family. One way I express my love of family is through the food that I prepare, I will share some of that. I am also writing a nonfiction book (unrelated to RV life); since it takes up so much of my time, I will probably share some about that in this forum as well.

It really is a wonderful RV life. I’m trying to live my best life now, as a full time RVer. I recently (2022) turned 60 years young. It’s never too late to reinvent yourself! It’s never too late to try something new! At least that’s what I’m telling myself right now.

Why don’t you join me in my search for something (new beginnings?), maybe you’ll find your something too.

Love,

Donna
